automotive Thüringen e. V. (Automotive)
Originally known as "Automobilzulieferer Thüringen e.V.” (AZT), the association "automotive Thürigen e.V.” (at) was founded by nine Thuringian enterprises on August 29th, 2000. Since that time, it has managed to bring together over 100 Thuringian automotive suppliers as network partners. Its current members also include a number of universities, universities of applied sciences, research institutions, banks, leasing companies, and other service providers.
In order to succeed, any concept for electric mobility must incorporate the practical experiences drawn from everyday use as well as new technologies and services which support that use. The eMobilityCity network bundles all Thuringian stakeholders in the field of electric mobility with the intention of tackling the challenges associated with “integrated electric mobility in networked cities.” This involves testing existing products and identifying open development strategies in order to promote electric mobility in Thuringia. Thus, a number of target-group-specific initiatives are underway to foster the use of electric vehicles and e-charging options under the slogan “Bringing the ‘e’ to the City.” In keeping with the vision of integrated mobility, approaches for the digitalization of new mobility concepts are being developed.
Logistik Netzwerk Thüringen e.V. (Logistics)
Logistik Netzwerk Thüringen e.V. is a cooperative association made up of specialists drawn from all areas of the logistics industry. Besides shippers, loaders, and providers of contract logistics, the network also includes enterprises active in consulting, intermodal cargo transport, education & ongoing training, IT, R&D, personnel services, and logistics-related support services, as well as various associations and governmental agencies. The declared objective is to serve as a competence network extending along the entire supply chain using a holistic approach.
The association is dedicated to boosting Thuringia’s status as a European distribution hub. To achieve this, the association’s members work on developing viable and sustainable, needs-based solutions and structures for the logistics industry. These solutions ultimately benefit all of Thuringia’s industrial firms, production and trading enterprises, since effective (production) logistics serve as the basis for higher added value and productivity.
Logistik Netzwerk Thüringen coordinates closely with other industrial clusters and networks in Thuringia in order to discover shared interests and efficiency gains. The association also maintains close ties to other German logistics networks. This facilitates an exchange of knowledge as well as cooperation on cross-regional projects.
