The activities of the Working Group “Industrial production and systems” serve to implement the Thuringian Innovation Strategy in this particular field of innovation.
The Working Group “Industrial production and systems” held its constituent assembly on December 9th, 2014, and currently comprises a total of 30 appointed members.

Activities of the Working Group

The Working Group has set itself the following key targets in order to realize the vision defined for the future:

Intelligent, networked production: By 2020, Thuringia is to become a region of competence for smart networked production with appropriately adjusted human-machine interaction.  


Flexible and efficient processes, systems, and technologies: By 2020, Thuringia is to become a leading European region for the development and application of flexible and efficient processes, systems, and technologies for customized products.


Smart production monitoring and steering: By 2020, Thuringia is to become a globally established region in the field of sensor & measurement technology for industrial production.
