Working Group “Healthy living and the healthcare sector”

The activities of the Working Group for healthy living and the healthcare sector serve to implement the Thuringian Innovation Strategy in this particular field of innovation.

The Working Group “Healthy living and the healthcare sector” held its constituent assembly on December 9th, 2014, and currently comprises a total of 24 appointed members from the fields of medical technology, analytics, diagnostics, infection research, food industry, biotechnology and biophotonics, as well as health & wellness and aging.

Activities of the Working Group

The Working Group has set itself the following key targets in order to realize the vision defined for the future:

In Thuringia, pioneering solutions will be developed in analytics, diagnostics, monitoring, and therapy for medical applications and healthy nutrition.


Thuringia is to become an incubator for key innovations that promote healthy aging and help preserve the quality of life of the chronically ill.
